They're one of my simplest genetic breeds, yet one of the most expansive. Besides their main feature, they're essentially ChiChi Norns with a few additional edits to make them more grendel-like (e.g. they're more likely to develop an egg-stealing habit). This means they're generally friendly and will mingle with norns without a fuss.
As for "expansive," I'm planning on developing a wide array of additional colors and sub-breeds for them for a significant (and hopefully interesting) expansion of the grendel gene pool (hence why they have their own page). Keep an eye out for potential future additions to their family.

Standard
Standard Colorful Grendels are simply the breed described in the overview, with no other traits. They're the base breed upon which the other sub-breeds are engineered from.
Sweetheart
Sweetheart Colorful Grendels are much more sociable than the Standard sub-breed; in fact, they're friendly to the point that they get a lot of their nutrition from socializing with other creatures. That being said, they also take the saying "Make love, not war" to a decidedly ridiculous extreme. They're rather fragile and hitting things (whether it be another creature or just a general object) pains them, so they're especially vulnerable to violent breeds like Hardman Norns. To make up for that, they can breed starting at adolescence when most Colorful Grendels can't breed until adulthood.
